Review: Obliterated Review | Netflix

Platform 7 is a story about a young woman named Lisa who is trapped in a train station after dying under the wheels of a train a year earlier. Her spirit goes unseen until Edward, a troubled man, joins her in the purgatorial afterlife. When her parents and boyfriend visit to lay flowers at her death spot, Lisa is able to follow them out of the station and roam the wider world.

The actor’s performances are decent, with some better than expected. However, they miss the emotional connection and the camera angle feels better. The first two episodes are good, but the third episode may be cut to make it shorter. The fourth episode feels long, which may be an issue with the editor. The screenplay is good, but the night scene seems to be modified using a green screen. The music is decent and adds a sense of scare, but the story is too compiled and seems to exhaust the plot.

Besides that, the show’s story feels chimpy and lengthy, while the psychological scenes are enjoyable. However, the length of the series is long and the editing, which is a book adaptation, seems wasteful.

The show tries to cover every plot, making it superboard and making it feel rushed whereas the story moves between flashbacks of Lisa’s last year alive, her investigation of fellow passenger Edward, and following Transport Police Officer Akash as he investigates her death. Despite being out of his remit, it allows Lisa to meet up with old friends and family, potentially exposing their motives or covering their tracks.

RATING – 2.5/5

At last, if you like psychological shows or movies and can able to watch slow shows then this show is perfect for you if you are an audience who likes fast pace story then please leave it and don’t waste your time on this show rather than watch some meaningful show.
