“My Demon” Episode 9 Recap: “My Demon” is an ongoing Netflix Korean drama series that is currently streaming its 9th episode. In the previous episode, we see that Doo Hee withdrew his candidacy. Now, we will see the identity of the mystery man in this episode.
Episode 9 starts with a recap of the 8th episode. We see that Doo Hee and Jeong are happy with each other, and the episode title appears as “The Unmasked Truth.” The next day, both of them visit a cafe to celebrate Christmas. At that place, Doo Hee sees the guy whom she was going to marry when she wanted to make Jeong jealous. Jeong said he would teach that guy a lesson.
Jeong and Doo Hee were enjoying a date; both of them wanted to spend time alone. Doo Hee and Jeong were riding couple bikes, enjoying themselves, but someone was clicking their pictures secretly.
Doo Hee was still in trauma; whenever she listens to that song, she remembers that night when the mysterious guy tried to kill her. She was getting flashbacks. Doo Hee’s stepbrother and his son were still planning something big; they wanted to frame Doo Hee in a big case. They were planning for that.
In the last episode, we told you that there is one more mysterious character in the show which hasn’t been revealed yet. We can only see leather gloves and a leather jacket but not the person.
Doo Hee received a courier; she goes to the office. Doo Hee is still researching the murder of Madam Ju. Jeong was trying to say that she should give up on this because her life is in danger. Seak Hoon also arrived at the office. Jeong was getting angry after seeing Seak Hoon coming again and again.
Jeong and Seak Hoon had an argument; Jeong goes to a sketch artist, and the artist draws the sketch of the mystery man. Now Jeong and the Black Suit gang teamed up; Jeong wanted them to do a job for him. He assigned a task to them to find that mystery man.
Jin Ga Young was trying to explain to Jeong that he should be a demon and not try to become like humans. But Jeong says to her to be in her limits. Doo Hee and her manager go to a bar; they drank too much. Jeong was trying to control them. Jeong calls Mr. Park to help him. Doo Hee was feeling very happy with Jeong.
They both reach home safely. On the other side, the Black Suit gang was searching for the mystery man. He was in his nest talking to another man; the sketch artist and police finally got something.
The mystery man went to a closed theater; only one man was sitting in the audience’s place. He comes from behind and tries to kill the mystery man, and that guy was Doo Hee’s stepbrother. This means he was another mystery man. Now his identity is revealed, but Doo Hee’s brother throws petrol and a lighter in the room where he was hiding. Nok Suk Min killed him.
Now there is no mystery man in the show. After that, we can see Noh Suk Min and his mother, Madam Ju, having an argument; this proves Noh Suk Min killed his mother. The next day, the police call Jeong and tell them about the mystery man. They went to his theater and see that he’s no more. Jeong goes to his home and finds that microphone which was hidden in his house. Because of that, the mystery man was listening to everything.
Seak Hoon also reaches the police station. Jeong tells Doo Hee to go home with Seak Hoon. Doo Hee thought the war is over, but the real deal starts now. Jeong is searching for other microphones in his house; he sees that all the clocks in his house are stopped.
Jeong again goes back to the hospital where he saved a small child by giving him an extra life. Something unusual was happening with Jeong; he now became a complete human. The beggar lady, who comes again and again in the show, we see that there is some past related to Jeong. She snaps, and they get ported to different times and locations; Jeong remembers something.
The lady says that all the powers that Jeong has are because of her only; she gave those powers to Jeong. Jeong’s powers were lost; he asked her if she’ll get his powers back or not. She says, “You’re about to die now.” Seak Hoon meets Young in a restaurant; he asks Young about the true identity of Jeong. Young tells him everything.
The beggar lady says that if Doo Hee dies, then only he can get his powers back, and the episode ends.
