Kathal Movie Review: Netflix’s original thriller film Kathal: A Jackfruit Mystery is now available to watch on Netflix. The trailer of the film was loved by the audience, and now the film is available to watch on Netflix in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and other versions, along with subtitles. The film is around 100 minutes long and is suitable to watch with family and kids.
The film features some big names like Sanya Malhotra, Raj Pal Yadav, and Anant V Joshi in the lead roles. It also stars Vijay Raaz, Neha Saraf, and others. The film is produced by Ekta Kapoor and directed by Yashowwardhan Mishra.
The story of the film revolves around Mahima Basora, a police inspector who is assigned to investigate the case of the missing ‘Kathal’ (Jackfruit) from a local MLA’s house. While investigating, Mahima comes to know that a girl named ‘Amiya’ is missing from the village. Mahima starts an investigation and discovers some shocking details related to the case. Will she be able to solve the case? To find out, you need to watch the full movie on Netflix.
Coming to the performances, Sanya Malhotra looks good in her role and appears fresh and refreshing. She tries to make us laugh with her comic timing, but unfortunately, she is overshadowed by great actors like Vijay Raaz and Raj Pal Yadav. Rajpal Yadav looks great in his role, and you are going to love his performance for sure. Anant V Joshi has also done a brilliant job. The rest of the actors were equally good.

The biggest issue with the film is the story and screenplay. The story looks dull from the beginning itself. Although there are some enjoyable moments in the show, ultimately the whole film turns out to be an average affair. The dialogues are average, and the film lacks comedy. The music of the film is also average, and there is nothing special about it.
I am giving the film 2.5 out of 5 stars. The film has nothing special and lacks comedy. However, if you want to see some great and amazing actors together, you may watch the film on Netflix. The film is a family-friendly show and is around 100 minutes long.
