Is Wednesday Based On A True Story?: For all the fans all around the world, Netflix has brought to you an adaptation of one of the oldest TV-Shows ever which made its way into the world with a single-page cartoon on the pages of The New Yorker and entertained the entire US for the next five decades.
It’s none other than Wednesday, which tells the story of Wednesday Addams, from The Addams Family which made its way from cartoon to TV Series adaptations, movies, dramas, video games, and even to theatres.
The eight-episodic coming-of-age supernatural horror comedy series has been released on Netflix starring Jenna Ortega along with Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, and Gwendoline Christie. Created by the master animator Tim Burton along with Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. Each episode of the series is about an hour long.
However, seeing the show’s cinematography along with the brilliant acting, one might wonder if this is based on a true story or if some aspect of the show has been taken from real-life major events.
In answer to that, sadly everything you see in Wednesday is fictional and has been adapted from The Addams Family, and Wednesday is actually a spin-off of the famous TV Series. Wednesday follows the gothic teenager who is enrolled in the Nevermore Academy which is a boarding school for outcasts after Wednesday’s failure to mix herself in with the normal school.
At Nevermore, Wednesday starts to investigate the history of the academy itself and realizes that there’s a murderer lurking close to the academy.
