Where Does Gen V Take Place?: Gen V is making a lot of noise on the internet, some people even saying it is a worthy successor of the boys. If you also want to watch Gen V, then there are only two series you need to watch before watching Gen V. You can’t start watching Gen V without watching The Boys.
There are three seasons of The Boys and one Animated series you need to watch before, watching Gen V. Please note that, If you want to watch the Gen V all alone, You may start that, but it will take some time to establish the connection.
1. The Boys (Seasons 1 & 2)
Gen V and The Boys story take place in the same universe, if you want to watch Gen V, first you need to watch The Boys Season 1 & 2. The Boys Season 1 tells us some Dark truth about Supes and Vought, and how they just commercialize everything and how they work. And believe me, you will not understand anything if you don’t watch The Boys Season 1 & 2. There are a lot of things in the boys that we will see in Gen V.
2. The Boys Presents: Diabolical
The Boys Presents: Diabolical is an animated anthology series set in the boy’s universe. Some of the stories take place in the past. Some people will tell you to skip it but if you just want to watch the boys you can skip it. But as you are watching Gen V, there is an episode that tells us more about the Red River Institute, an important place in Gen V. The Boys Universe Content never disappoints, so you will have fun watching it.
3. The Boys Season 3
The Boys Season 3, takes place before Gen V. A month or two after The Boys S3 the Gen V show took place. A lot of references to what happened in The Boys S3, and also there is a character who was a lead character in The Boys that appeared in Gen V.
