Blood Coast Episode 2: Blood Coast is a French crime thriller involving police officers working to prevent and avenge a drug lord’s rise in power. Ali’s family and empire are being ripped apart, causing tension between India and Murillo. Marseille is set to stranglehold them, and the gang war looks set to explode whereas this episode explores more about the team which we see in this article.

Episode 2 titled, “Welcome to the Squad” begins exactly where episode 1 ends where we see that Lyes and his team are questioned about an incident at the warehouse by Miranda, an Internal Affairs operative. Despite their weaknesses, none crack. Murillo, who discovered Alice Vidal visited his mother, plots to take her away. Meanwhile, Ali Saidi visits Gonzo and has him beaten to a pulp for betraying Kamel.

Lyes organizes his team to pick up the slack on their case, finding more drugs in a warehouse car and urging them to check crack dealers and pressure dealers. Audrey is also tasked with checking serial numbers. Ali’s revenge crusade is only starting, and Alice Vidal seems to be within his sights.

Alice Vidal, with ulterior motives, attempts to convince Miranda to help him bring down Lyes Benamar and his “pack of nutcases” in Marseille. Miranda agrees, but Lyes watches from afar on his motorcycle.

Later, Ali warns Lyes that if anyone stops him on his revenge mission, he will personally pursue them. The next morning, the gang team investigates the case. Tattoo learns from Bikari that Biggie might have the answers they need, as he hangs out at Felix Pyat and is “nearly 600 pounds.” After a fiery encounter with Biggie and his boys, Tatoo and Arno stake out a bar on the corner of a street.

Where Arno and Tatoo are attacked by gunmen in a van, but survive. This serves as a warning, as they could have been killed. Lyes, a football coach, learns about Ali’s presence and instructs him to investigate the dealers who oversee the “jobbers” who sell drugs. They meet with Tatoo and Arno and debrief, revealing that the bullets used in the shootout match those used at the warehouse. Audrey has found a link to a robbery, but the case is dismissed, leaving little to go on.

Peretto is linked to a murder, but he is unaware of it. She has evidence linking him to the murder. Ali, uninterested in games, meets Jul, riles him up, and claims he knows how the crack came into the projects. However, he learns he’s lying and stabbing him repeatedly. Lyes confronts Alice about her chat with Miranda, warning her that he will be ruthless and not forgive her if she tries to sabotage him.

At the end of episode 2, we find that Murillo and the Indian blackmail the owner of a nightclub to arrange a meeting with Foudil, forcing Da Costa into a corner due to his daughter’s life on the line. Ali attends Kamel’s funeral, and the family, including Farrah, is livid. Foudil takes the bait and meets up with a new girl, whom Murillo and the Indian have planted to get him alone.

They tie up Foudil in their van, pay off the girl, and beat him to death with a hammer. When Ali returns home, he finds Foudil’s dead body strung up in a tree, and his family is crumbling before his eyes and the episode ends.
