Ticket to Paradise Shooting & Filming Locations: Ticket to Paradise is a romantic comedy-drama film in which the story follows two divorced parents, David, and Georgia Cotten, played by George Clooney and Julia Roberts, who meet each other after a long time to visit their daughter Lily, who is getting married to a man, Geda, whom she has recently met without knowing his background.
The story changes when her divorced parents team up to stop her from getting married to that man so that her daughter doesn’t make the same mistakes they made when they married 25 years ago and so that her daughter does not face any issues like them.
Ticket to Paradise filming begins in November 2021, but the team has to stop production due to COVID-19 in January 2022. The majority of the film has already been shot and finally, after COVID-19, the filming will wrap in February 2022.
Ticket to Paradise was shot in many locations, including Australia, Indonesia, and California, specifically in Queensland, Bali, and Los Angeles, with the majority of the crew and cast based in Queensland, Australia’s largest and most populous state, where they set up camp at Whitsunday Islands.
After that, the crew members shifted to Stockyard Beach and Whitehaven Beach in the Whitsundays to shoot a couple’s meeting scene. In addition, the production team built Balinese-style huts on the beachfront of the Palm Bay Resort on Long Island to make it look more romantic.
They also shoot some shots at Hamilton Island Airport, where in one scene we see David and Georgia arrive in Bali after they begin their relationship in the film.
The final filming happened in many different locations, like in Carrara Markets on Cnr Manchester Road, HOTA Gallery at 135 Bundall Road in Surfers Paradise, and Los Angeles, where the filming finally wrapped.
Ticket to Paradise had its world premiere in Barcelona on September 8, 2022, and was released in the United Kingdom on September 20, 2022, and in the United States on October 21, 2022, by Universal Pictures.
