The Great British Bake-Off Season 13 Episode 6: The Great British Bake-Off is back with another first-ever Halloween Week that had all Halloween-themed challenges, ranging from Cakes to Lanterns that have treats in them. With just 7 bakers remaining in the tent in Welford Park.
The pressure is on and it does look on the faces of the bakers when they try to complete a challenge that has a lot of levels to it. Week by week, the challenges are getting stressful but the bakers are able to come to the other side and produce amazing bakes.
Here are the challenges that were set by the judges this week
- Signature
Make an exquisitely decorated Apple cake. Bakers can use any type of sponge they like, but the hero ingredient must be a fresh apple.
- Technical
Make 8 s’mores which should have a gooey marshmallow and a creamy dark chocolate ganache sandwiched between two digestive biscuits.
- Showstopper
Make a Hanging lantern that should be Halloween-themed. When smashed open, must reveal an array of sweet treats inside.
This week, we saw some glorious bakes but every bake had some issues let it be the texture or flavors it wasn’t that hard for the judges to choose star baker this week and it was Syabira who had an amazing comeback and also came first in the technical.
The baker we saw going on this week was Dawn who had been at the bottom along with Kevin and both of them didn’t do good enough bakes but it was Dawn who had to go home.
