National Treasure Edge of History Release Date, Cast, Story & More: A couple of years ago, it was announced by famous producer Jerry Bruckheimer that a National Treasure series is in the works and will release on Disney+.
At this year’s SDCC (San Diego Comic-Con), the first look of the National Treasure series and a 15-second teaser was revealed by Disney at their panel. The title of this series was announced as well which is National Treasure: Edge of History.
National Treasure movie franchise was a blockbuster where Ghost Rider star Nicholas Cage played the lead role of Benjamin Franklin Gates. The short teaser focused on Jess Morales played by Lisette Olivera, who’s on a roller coaster ride of recovering the lost American treasure. During the same, she will have to face some surprising secrets.
When ask if Nicolas Cage will be coming back in this series, the makers denied it by saying that Cage is busy with other projects. They wanted him but due to availability issues, they couldn’t cast him in the show.
National Treasure: Edge of History will have 10 episodes in total and will release on a weekly basis. The storyline of the series won’t affect much to the movie’s storyline but as per the makers, all the adventures are taking place in the same universe
