Lookism (Netflix) Review: Animes are getting Popular and now a large section of audiences likes and love to watch Anime shows, Netflix brings another Anime show titled ‘Lookism’ which is a Korean adaption. The 8 episodes each around 25 minutes in length are now available to watch on Netflix in Hindi, Korean, English, and a few more dubbed version with subtitles.
The show is suitable to watch with Family and Kids, the show is created by Lee Dae-woo, and banked by Studio Mir, The 8 episodic Drama show has the voices of Shim Kyu-hyuck, Han Shin, Ryu Seung-gone, Jeong Jae-heon, and others.
The show is about a school-going boy Park Hyeong-Seok who is bullied by everyone due to his looks and dressing sense, he doesn’t have any friends and no one wants to talk to him, he requests his mother to change his school and she agrees to do so, One sudden night something happens that changed the life of Park Hyeong-seok completely, what happened that night and how his life changes, To know this, You Have to watch the show on Netflix.
The show is a mirror of society nowadays and narrates the ugly truth that how society differentiates based on color, Age, weight, and dressing sense, How you will be judged just because of your looks and the by your dressing sense, The writing of the show is predictable still it looks engaging and is relatable, You can going to feel the most of sequences of the show and you relate it in the real life with someone.
The music and the BGM of the show are top Notches and the song performed at the end of the show was just amazing, The original show already has a great fan following and now the decent adaptation is going to make that webtoon More Popular, The show is going to enter the Top 10 club on the Netflix soon.
The characters were perfectly balanced and the Voice cast for the show was amazing, The GFX and the animation were Top Notch and it brings the characters of the webtoon to life on the screen.
I am going with 3 Out of 5 stars for the Lookism, The show is a decent adaptation and if you love college drama shows that you are going to like it for sure, The show is slightly slow in the middle but overall it entertains you a lot.
The show is now available to watch on Netflix with 8 episodes, Each episode is around 25 Minutes long and you can watch it in Hindi, English, Korean, and some more audio version along with subtitles.
