Lesly Colombian Forest Rescue Child: The latest docu-series is the story of how four children, including a one-year-old, survived a plane crash by keeping themselves alive for almost 40 days until the rescue team found them inside the dense Amazon Jungle.

The operation is named Operation Hope because the adults traveling with the children were found dead at the crash site, but the children were nowhere to be found. This led them to believe that the children might still be alive. Here we are going to talk about one such survivor, Lesly, so let’s talk about her.

Lesly was 13 years old at the time, the oldest among them, so she took charge and kept her other three siblings alive for 40 days. This was possible due to her great knowledge of the forest, as she had been learning about it since childhood. This all happened on May 1 when their mother, Magdalena Mucutuy, decided to move out from there because her husband was receiving numerous threats from the local leader.

Unfortunately, they encountered an engine failure in their single-engine aircraft, and all the adults died except for their children. Lesly took her siblings and guided them through the jungle, which is filled with venomous snakes and animals like pumas, jaguars, and many more. Their footprints and half-eaten fruits helped the authorities track them down. After finding them deep inside the forest, Lesly emerged as a hero for the Colombian people, who were greatly inspired by her.

Where Are They Now?

According to recent reports, they are under the surveillance of Colombian authorities, who are taking care of them. According to the doctors, they speak very little as they are still weak due to not being able to get enough food. They are currently being provided with only what they can consume, but soon they will recover and be able to continue their lives.
