Kohrra Series Review (Kohra): Netflix India presents the crime thriller investigation series “Kohraa,” which is currently streaming on Netflix in Hindi, English, and Punjabi languages along with subtitles.
The story starts after the police discover the dead body of an NRI boy named Paul. Inspector Balbir Singh & Inspector Garundi start investigating this incident. They find out that after two days, he would have married a girl named Veera. Not only that, but Paul’s best friend named Liam also came from England for his engagement. Many people are involved in this murder investigation.

As Veera loved Saakar, he can’t accept their marriage. One day in a bar, he attacked Paul, but Liam saved him. After this incident, Veera met with Paul because she wanted to apologize for Saakar’s involvement in the matter. Paul accepted Veera’s apology as she also loved him and wanted to make a new life together. However, this series shows a love triangle as Liam also loved Paul.
Liam came to India because he couldn’t live without him. But, after knowing that Paul fell in love with a girl, he couldn’t accept this situation. To satisfy him, Paul starts to give him oral s*x, and at that time, Liam slits Paul’s throat. This is the main story of the series, and it also shows the lifestyle of the two inspectors, Balbir & Garundi. Balbir sacrifices his personal life and chooses his profession, while Garundi wants to get married and solve this case as it’s his first big one.
The story is nothing new, but the execution of the story is good. The dark gripping screenplay will hold you until the end to know the truth. It not only reveals who is behind the murder but also explores lots of social discrimination.
Savinderpal Vicky as Balbir Singh shines throughout the whole show. On the other side, Barun Sobti as Garundi did a perfect job. They both carry the whole show.
All in all, it’s a well-made gripping series with a routine story. However, it’s not suitable for watching with your family and children.
I’ll give it 3 stars out of 5. The six episodes of “Kohrra” are currently streaming on Netflix in Hindi, English, and Punjabi languages along with subtitles.
