Amazon’s Golden Egg giving goose, otherwise known as “The Boys” has been one of the most famous series in recent times since its start in 2020. The series has a stellar cast who delivers and exceeds our expectations breaking barriers that we did not know were possible in the “streaming world”.
With the show getting crazier and more intense with each episode, The Boys remains the king right now with just an episode releasing this week titled “Herogasm” getting a lot of attention, and why not? It’s an infamous orgy between supes (alias for superheroes in The Boys). The show is based on the comic book series that debuted in 2006 and ended its run in 2012, the series looks a lot relevant to the recent times.
Not only the series is crazy intense and thrilling, but it is also very relevant to the times we live in, especially in the US. We thought of pointing out some things that we think are notable in the episodes.
A-TRAIN trying to give back to his community, but is he really doing that?
A-Train, the “Flash” of The Boys is currently worn off and can’t run anymore and if he does, he may well kill himself in the process. Now, we’re seeing A-Train trying to come up with something to be in the news, and being a black person in The US, he goes back to his roots and pitches ideas for a TV-Show along with other ideas.
This is not news because there have been some cases where people do try to take advantage of them being from a marginalized community.
Supes Lives Matter
A-Train in his attempt to give back to his community encounters Blue Hawk who is patrolling only the areas where Black Folk live, and he’s been killing innocent black people. A-Train tries to get him to understand that and make an apology when things get escalate and you see an exchange between people of the Black Community saying, “Black Lives Matter” and Blue Hawk screaming “All Lives Matter!” but then changing it to “Supes Lives Matter!” ending up injuring a dozen people. This is very relevant to what has been and is still happening in the US.
