IC 814 Series Hijackers Real Names: Netflix is in the news again for another controversial show titled ‘IC814: The Kandhar Hijack Story’. The series is based on the real story of the Kandahar Hijack That happened on 24th December 1999.

The show is already in controversy are many influencers on social media have claimed that the names of the Hijackers have been changed to the Hindu community but in reality, they belong to the Muslim community.  Here we are going to explain the controversy related to the IC 814 Series and some other details related to the show.

So, the real names of the Hijackers as per data were ‘Ibrahim Athar, Sunny Ahmed Qazi, Zahoor Ibrahim, Shahid Akhter, and Sayed Shakir’ but the Social media users are complaining that the names used in the show are Bola and Shankar and as per various social media users the names have been changing deliberately. This is not the truth, the names of Hijackers have not changed but the truth is the names shown in the series were their Code names and in real incidents too the Hijackers used the same code names as we get to see in the series.

In the Real incident, Hijackers used code names like ‘Bhola, Shankar, Burger and Chief and we get to see the same in the series. So the claim of social media users of changing their names is not true and Anubhav Sinha has tried to keep the show as real as he can.
