This decision marked the beginning of his downfall. Glen became addicted and couldn’t function without OxyContin. He lost his family, home, and finances. The series concludes with Glen taking his last breath in his car after consuming drugs for the final time.

Does Glen Exist in Real Life?

Glen is a fictional character, albeit inspired by the countless individuals who lost their lives due to the Opioid crisis. He is a composite character created exclusively for the series, and he doesn’t exist in reality. However, the experiences depicted through his character are tragically real. Glen’s character serves as a representation of the many impoverished people who have tragically succumbed to addiction.
