Dhootha Episode 1: Amazon Prime Video’s original series ‘Dhootha’ is now streaming with 8 episodes in multiple audio versions. Here goes the recap and explanation of the first episode of the show.
Episode 1 of the show starts with a newspaper launch, and we get introduced to Sagar Verma, who is appointed as Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper. Later on, we get introduced to Sagar’s PA, Amrita, and Sagar’s wife, Priya, and daughter, Anjali. We also get to know that Sagar has got this position in place of his friend Charles. Charles also sends a set of burned flowers to Sagar on the day of the launch.

On the same night when Sagar was returning with his family, his car ran out of fuel at a Dhaba. He calls for help from his PA Amrita and then goes to the Dhaba to grab some food. At the Dhaba, he found a newspaper cutting in which there was a puzzle, and the question in the puzzle was about the death of Sagar’s dog. The question in the puzzle was, ‘What is the name of Sagar Verma’s dog who dies in a car accident at 10:41:33?’ When Sagar looks at the clock, it was around 10:40, and exactly at the mentioned time, his car got hit by a truck, and his dog dies.
Sagar was shocked beyond words, and he can’t get anything. He tells everything to PA Amrita the next day, and he says that there are chances that his old friend Charles is behind all this. On the other hand, the police nab the driver of the truck, but he tells the police that he has no idea about anything. Sagar bribes the police to keep the driver in custody and torture him.
Sagar decides that he will meet Charles and clear everything. He calls Charles more than 8 times, but there is no reply from Charles’ side. Sagar then calls Charles’s wife, and she tells him that Charles is at his farmhouse. Sagar reaches Charles’s farmhouse, and there he sees a man in a yellow jacket on a bike. When he enters the house, he sees clippings of newspapers all around the house.

When he goes upstairs, Charles says that he knows that paper that Sagar found at the Dhaba, and then the accident happens. Charles also warns Sagar that he is going to be next and then shoots himself with a local gun. There was a newspaper cutting in the hand of Charles in which a cartoon was made, and the cartoon was exactly the same as the current situation.
Sagar runs away from there and clears blood and all from his clothes, and episode 1 ends here. Honestly speaking, the show starts with a bang, and I am loving this show. Although I am pretty sure that something happened in the past, and now the same thing is haunting Charles and Sagar, but it will be interesting to see how far the show goes.
