David O. Russell is one of those directors that brings charisma to his films. He has given some really good movies along the way and those movies have a name for themselves and most of them got nominated for Academy Awards, some of them even winning too.

Some of David O. Russell’s famous movies are American Hustle, Joy, Silver Linings Playbook, Three Kings and the list goes on. The director is back with a film with a cast so banger, you’d think he has incorporated all of Hollywood’s great actors in it.

The film has been titled “Amsterdam” and just to give you an idea of understanding or even grasping how amazing the film can be, is the list of the cast

Christian Bale (The Dark Knight Trilogy, Gorr The God Butcher In Thor: Love & Thunder)
Margot Robbie (Joker, I, Tonya)
John David Washington (BlackKklansman, Malcolm X, The Book Of Eli)
Chris Rock (Fargo Season 4, The Longest Yard)
Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch, Queen’s Gambit)
Mike Myers (Austin Powers Trilogy, Wayne’s World)
Michael Shannon (The Iceman, Groundhog Day, 8mile)
Timothy Olyphant (Justified, Santa Clarita Diet)
Andrea Riseborough (The Devil’s Whore, National Treasure)
Taylor Swift (I do not need to give you an idea about who she is)
Matthias Schoenaerts (Red Sparrow, The Danish Girl)
Alessandro Nivola (Selma, The New Saints Of Newark)
Rami Malek (Mr. Robot, No Time To Die)
Robert De. Niro (The Godfather, Raging Bull)

These are the versatile actors that David O. Russell has cast for his movie Amsterdam which is his first directorial after the 2016 film Joy starring Jennifer Lawrence. Just by seeing the cast and combining all their potential, we can assume how the movie is going to be but if the movie did not have much charm in it, would it be safe to assume that talented actors do not mean anything if the script is just shit? Guess we’ll find it.

Amsterdam will be out in theatres on November 4, 2022.

"I'm just a humble cinephile with a knack for stringing words together. My reviews may not be as fancy as "The Grand Budapest Hotel" but they'll give you a good idea of whether a movie is worth the ticket price. I may not be a "Casablanca" of criticism, but I'll always give you my honest opinion. So join me on this journey of cinematic discovery, it's sure to be "One for the Ages."
