Onmyoji Episode 1: “Onmyoji” is a recently released Netflix original anime series currently available on Netflix with 13 episodes in Japanese and English languages. Here goes the Episode 1 recap and ending explanation of the show.
The first episode starts with some demonic powers. We see carts being moved without an ox. The people present at the moment say, “This must be some demonic power.” After that, the intro theme of the series starts, which is very dark but visually satisfying. Narihara orders Hiromasa to kill the demon before it harms others. Narihara also mentions that they cursed the oxcart and Hiromasa must quickly kill the demon; otherwise, more lives will be lost. Hiromasa goes in search of the demon. Suddenly, on the way, he finds Lord Seimei. Hiromasa tells everything to Lord Seimei about what happened with Narihara. He explains the whole incident of the demon-possessed oxcart.

Hiromasa says to Lord Seimei that asking for help from him was a bad decision. Hiromasa was on his way to fight with the Demon Princess, but Lord Seimei suddenly comes in the middle of the night to help Hiromasa. Lord Seimei came to see the Demon Princess himself.
Lord Seimei also said that Narihara would recover soon. Hiromasa was glad to know that. In the middle of the night, the Demon Princess appears again, but suddenly, a horrifying big red hand comes out from the fire, taking more lives.
Lord Seimei said that the dog appeared last night, and he has seen that dog before too.
In the darkness, the Demon Princess was talking to someone. Lord Seimei and Hiromasa were searching for the demon in the night. Lord Seimei said that the Demon Princess might be cursed for love. They finally find the Demon Princess in the night, but she becomes much stronger while showcasing her emotions at that moment.

A fight happens between them, and suddenly the demon starts crying after seeing the love of her life. After that, we see the past story of the demon. At that moment, we come to know that the name of the demon is “Rindo.” The past story of the demon princess was very painful. The man with whom she fell in love was an emperor. After her past story, the first episode ends.
