In 1952, we again see Manny, who is now back in Los Angeles, but this time he is with his wife and son, and they see the door of the studio named Kinoscope where he worked. Aside from that, we learn that when he moved from Los Angeles, he worked at a small audio shop in New York City and that he hasn’t seen a movie in a theatre in a long time.
The scene shifts to the present, where we see that they come to a halt at the studio’s gate, where he talks with the security guard about the time when he worked to make movies, whereas his family wanted to go to the hostel, where Manny still talks with the guard and leaves them with the car so that they can get to the hostel while he is still on the street, as he wants to remember his life.

Again, we see Manny playing the film Singing in the Rain, which has a strong connection to the time because it was the first to introduce a silent film to a talking film. whereas in the flashback scene, we see that Nellie kisses Miguel, it’s a black-and-white movie, and the story ends.
