Ishq Pashmina Movie Review: Ishq Pashmina is a name that oozes off the winter of North India and the pure Pashmina Wool which is not the same as the film that has been released recently. Starring Bhavin Bhanushali, Al Mamun Al Siyam, Zarina Wahab and other actors, the film’s title is quite deep but the film sadly is not.

The story is about a rich boy named Karan in Shimla who has recently gone blind because of an accident which has made him grumpy adjusting to his new normal, the only thing that calms him down is a voice from the All-India Radio’s one specific program where the lead actress Omisha recites Shayari’s and Poems.

Due to workplace harassment, Omisha quits the job and finds a job advertisement in the newspaper for a blind person caretaker and well, she gets hired for Karan by her mother who is very protective of him. What follows is a budding romance between both of them and a mother’s overprotectiveness of her son.

Weak Points
Script

The script itself does not even make sense, at times and it feels so draggy in some sequences. The story is not something very new but it has been wrapped in beautiful poetry which makes it slightly bearable that you do not stand up from the theatre and leave.

The story is far more predictable and the name itself gets you to expect a romance for the ages but the content fails to do justice to the name.

Weak Acting

Other than the lead actors, a couple of actors you’ll be familiar with but even they do not seem like they have been used to their full potential. The lead actress however does a little believable acting that she barely passes but the lead actor is just terrible at it, playing a Blind Guy to portraying emotions.

Even the antagonist’s angle here feels like an overly cooked angle.

Good
Music

Only this is bearable and actually enjoyable to a very little extent in the film. With a runtime of over 2 hours, there are quite a number of songs and well, they portray the melody of what the title of the film was trying to aim for, excluding this one-item song.

Final Verdict: 1/5

This is not worth anyone’s time. Far better alternatives out there, but definitely not this one to spend your money on.
