DC League of Super Pets Review: DC’s much-awaited movie is not like the straight DC that we’re used to seeing which is grim and dark-themed when it comes to colors used in the camera work instead this is a cute and funny movie.
We’re talking about none other than “League Of Super Pets” led by none other than Dwayne Johnson who is also one of the producers for the movie. Directed by Jared Stern, the film does pack a good punch but in more of a furry way. Here’s the review of the movie
The film has quite a cast that is being led by the duo that has never disappointed in the past i.e., Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart. The duo has given us some great action comedies and they’ve brought that charm here as well, and it works! Other than these two, Kate McKinnon is playing the antagonist of the film and she does that job wonderfully. The other notable actors are John Krasinski and Keanu Reeves who are playing Superman and Batman respectively.
The film is 3D Animated and the cinematography along with the animation is top-notch. The final boss fight is very pretty to look at with the colors and the camera work. The cinematography didn’t seem to falter at any point which is a good thing for an animated movie.
Made out as a movie for all age groups, the screenplay is quite easy to follow. There are no major twists and turns that might get complicated. With its short runtime, the movie does not get you bored in between and it’s a smooth transition. The duo of Dwayne and Kevin Hart keeps you engaged throughout.
DC’s League Of Super Pets is a cute and funny film that gets your attention and it does hold it until the end. Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart are really good in it and Keanu Reeves is Batman is a cherry on top. With the story of an uptight super dog learning his way to be just a dog and learning to let go of his insecurities, the film hits on much higher notes as well. The film is definitely a good one-time watch.
Final Rating: 3/5
