Darlings Review: Netflix’s original film ‘Darlings’ starring Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, and Vijay Verma is now available to watch on Netflix, I just finished the film, and here is the detailed review of the film Darling.
The film is created by Jasmeet K. Reen and Produced by Alia Bhatt, Red Chillies Productions, and Gaurav Verma. The film also stars Roshan Mathew, Rajesh Sharma, and others in crucial roles. The film is around 2 Hours long and You can watch it with Family audiences in Hindi audio.
The plot of the film revolves around Badru (Played by Alia Bhatt) and Hamza Shaikh (Played By Vijay Verma), Hamza is a toxic Husband, and he tortures Badru daily. Badru with help of her Mother Plans to get rid of him. But all these things resulted in something unexpected, To know what happened next, You have to watch the full movie on Netflix.
Vijay Verma and Shefali Shah were the biggest highlights of the film, Vijay was amazing and he Proves it again with his amazing talent, From a Toxic husband to a Romantic husband, the way he changes himself during the sequences was just amazing. Shefali Shah is a Phenomenal talent and she does it again here. She looks good in her role.
Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, looks a little outdated, She had raised the bar in ‘Gangubai’, but the performance in Darlings was surely not one of her best performances, She struggles a bit during the dialogue delivery. Roshan Mathew and Rajesh Sharma were amazing in their small yet very Crucial roles.
The film is dull, the story is Outdated and I think, the makers have ideas about a Dark film, The film lacks comedy, lacks thrill and lacks everything. The story is very predictable and long, The sequences are repeated again and again, which makes it dull and boring. The Screenplay is also very Poor, The music department was decent and one rap song in the film looks good. The locations were okay and the same was with the direction of the film.
I am going with 2 out of 5 stars for the film, The film is a Joke in the name of Dark Comedy, The film lacks thrill and comedy elements, Alia Bhatt was also not her best. The film will be forgotten soon by everyone and most of the audience will not able to relate to it.
