We are getting a Batgirl movie this year but it seems impossible now. Batgirl is an upcoming movie by DC which is reportedly delayed till the next year 2023. In the Warner Bros UK Media’s 2023 release lists, Batgirl was mentioned. If we take a guess, the delay has been done because of the merger of Warner Bros and Discovery.
Numerous projects have been affected due to this merger and might face cancellation and delays. Leslie Grace is cast to play the lead character of Batgirl. If the movie comes out, it will be the first-ever live-action Batgirl movie of the 21st Century. Batgirl aka Barbara Gordon is James Gordon’s daughter and one of the greatest allies of Batman.
Batgirl’s movie will feature JK Simmons as James Gordon playing the father of Batgirl Barbara Gordon.
JK Simmons was last seen in Marvel’s Spiderman No Way Home playing J. Jonah Jameson. DC’s Shazam The Fury Of The Gods, and Aquaman: The Lost Kingdom will be coming out this year as per the release schedule of DC.
