After a brilliant run of 4 Seasons on the streaming giant Netflix, Castlevania ended and will not be releasing the 5th season. The dark medieval fantasy animated series focussed on Trevor Belmont, the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hands of Vlad Dracula Tepes.
As Dracula and his legion of vampires prepare to rid the world of humanity’s stain, Belmont is no longer alone, and he and his misfit comrades race to find a way to save mankind from the grief-maddened Dracula. The animated series was a big hit instantly since it has been inspired by a very popular video game series.
After the series writer “Warren Ellis” was accused of sexual coercion and predatory behavior from a number of women, Netflix allowed the writer to still write the 4th season. Netflix has announced a spin-off animated series called Castlevania: Nocturne that is in production and will focus on a new generation of Belmont specifically Richter Belmont who is considered one of the most powerful in the Belmont family.
Netflix has not retained the writer Warren Ellis because of the sexual misconduct allegations and the series will be written by Clive Bradley who co-wrote the famous thriller mystery series “Trapped”.
