Finally, after a long wait voot is back the way it has started. Voot is now ready with some lineups aligned ahead to keep you entertain throughout out. The lineups include both its original returning series Asur 2, The Gone Game 2, Crackdown 2, and some collaborative content of Alt Balaji’s
Voot’s last original “The London Files” fails to impress its viewer much and has performed decently. Now it’s back with another series “Cyber Vaar” this time about the dark side of the Internet. The series will explore the various cases of cybercrime may be it be digital fraud, hacking crimes, M**S leak, and all other dark aspects of the digital world.
The series stars Mohit Malik and marks the debut of the television actress Sanaya Irani into the OTT space. The series is directed by Ankush Bhatt who has previously worked on movies such as 3 Dev, and Mumbai Mirror.
The main plot of the series explores how ACP Akash Malik played by Mohit Malik along with Cyber Expert Ananya Saini played by Sanaya Irani and team T.R.A.C.E (Threat Response And Cybercrime Enquiry) get on the quest to eliminate the cyber crimes that are looming over Mumbai.
The series is free to watch on voot and also dubbed in Tamil and Kannada. It will release two new episodes every Friday. The first two episodes is released today. The below review is on the basis of the first episode of the series only.

The series starts well when Sanaya gets a security breach warning of a malware attack. Here we are introduced to Mohit’s character in the bar trying to save a girl from a stalker boy and doing some action fight. He looks decent but its hard to manage the seriousness of the cybercrime series and there is very thin line or else it will become a cringe drama like it always used to be on this topic where people are seen hacking without any logic in the previous series on this topic. Shanaya looks decent and she shines in the series.
The plot of episodes 1 and 2 revolves around the crime of revenge porn where someone blackmails one for leaking a clip in exchange for something.
Talking about the character, Mohit’s character was previously an officer who used to do field work but now recently shifted to the cyber crime branch and he is not liking it much and doesn’t believe in tracking criminals online. Shanaya’s character is a cyber expert. She loves her work and always tries to help others at work. We can tell more about their character when more episodes are released and we get to know more about them and their life. Episode 1 and 2 is basically about the character intro and origin.
So this is my view on the first two episodes of Cyber Vaar. Stay tuned as we will review the upcoming episodes also which will be released weekly
