Hoichoi’s content is always new fresh and unique and when it comes to Hoichoi’s Bangladeshi content it is always a treat to watch. Hoichoi has released many Bangladeshi contents from various creators and directors of Bangladesh and starring many popular actors & actresses from Bangladesh may it be Chanchal Chowdhury from Taqdeer & Boli, Mosharraf Karim From Dour, Mahanagar or Mehazeien Chowdhury from the latest release Sabrina.

Now Hoichoi has released another content from the land of Bangladesh titled “Refugee”. It is a 6-episode series staring Taqdeer and Boli famed Shohel Mondol, Zakia Bari Momo, and Afzal Hussain as the main leads.

The story revolves around Bihari Camp in Dhaka where one drug peddler is captured by some officials and was later asked to stay undercover and work for them to spy on one of his leaders Osman. A supposed dangerous terrorist Carbon was staying in their camp and officials are doubting his leader to be also connected to it. The officials have asked Iqbal to spy and find out the terrorist that is hiding in the camp and Iqbal has his own reasons for helping them find the terrorist as his brother was jailed and he was trying hard to bail him out.

Who is the terrorist Carbon, who was hiding the terrorist in the camp, what is his master plan, how Iqbal will find the plan, and to what extent he will go to save his brother, and how the officials get to know about the terrorist, was there any big conspiracy in it. For all these answers you have to watch this 6-episode series which is streaming now in Hoichoi.

Talking about the performance of the actor Shohel Mondol has done a great job and shines through as well as Zakia playing Maria, the leader of the team hunting for Carbon. Afzal Hussain Playing carbon has also done a decent job and gives the intense feeling from his character. Hindi is the main primary language used here mixed with Bangladeshi and all the actors have captured the accent perfectly.

The series explores the mindset of some people in the camps of immigrants where they don’t consider India their country and want to go to Pakistan and consider themself trap here as they are not getting the status of Indian national here.

Overall cinematography of the series is very good and the series is fast pace and will hook you to your screen. The series is short and will not make you feel bored while watching it.

Considering all these points I am going with 3 stars for the series “Refugee”. It has a thrill factor in it and I suggest you give it a try.
