The movie is about a space pilot Mills (Driver), who is leaving for a 2-year space mission for finding medical treatment for his ill daughter, but unfortunately, his ship gets hit by an asteroid, which forces him to land on earth 65 million years ago, killing all the passengers also, but he finds that he is not the only one who has survived this crash, but there was also a girl Koa, who is the as same age as of his daughter. But they were not alone there are Dinosaurs also on that earth.
Now after traveling 15 kilometers on foot and fighting and escaping from dinosaurs, they have to go to the mountaintop so that they can get to the escape pod and escape from there, but there was a problem, a very big asteroid is about to hit that earth and many small asteroids are already started falling.

And we came to know that Mill’s daughter is now dead and Koa is the only purpose that he is trying to escape from there. As soon as they reached there a meteor hits the pod flipping it to another side, and two very big dinosaurs started attacking the pod and damaging it, but to stop them Mills jumps out in front and after some time by using his gun he successfully managed to drive them away from there.
Ending Explained
As soon as they managed to flee the dinosaurs, an even bigger dinosaur from which earlier they managed to escape came again to take its revenge and hits the pod, but Mills decides to lure him so that Koa can escape, as soon as dino started following him he takes him to a hot water lake, but the water is not enough to get that dino killed, and as soon as Dino approaches Mills to kill him, Koa appears and stab a knife in its eye and then throwing him into the hot water, and the monster is killed now, and at the end, they successfully managed to escape from there also just when the asteroid hits the earth And the movie ends.
