Zara Hatke Zara Bachke Review: Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan are two of the most promising performers we have in Bollywood. They are coming together for the first time in a comedy-drama film titled ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’. The film hit the big screens on June 2nd, 2023. I just finished watching the film, and here is a detailed review of it.
The film stars Sara Ali Khan, Vicky Kaushal, and Sharib Hashmi, and is directed by Laxman Utekar. It also features Inaamulhaq, Meghana Agarwal, and Shristi Rindani. The film has a runtime of approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes and is suitable to watch with family and kids. Here is a detailed review of the film.
The plot of the film revolves around Kapil and Somaya, a happily married couple whose privacy is being affected by their ‘Mama and Maami’ as they have been living in Kapil’s home for the last 3-4 months. Somaya and Kapil decide to get a new house, but due to financial issues, they cannot purchase one. Somaya gets an idea about a government scheme where she can get her own house at a lower price. The only condition for the scheme is that she needs to be a single woman. Somaya and Kapil decide to fake a divorce so that Somaya can fulfill the criteria to get the house. How will their fake divorce affect their love and family? To find out, you need to watch the full movie on the big screens.
Zara Hatke Zara BachkeComing to the positives first, the best and only good thing about the film is Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan’s chemistry. They look good together, and their chemistry is superb. They were a delight to watch on the big screens. Vicky Kaushal’s individual performance is decent, and the same goes for Sara too. The other actors were also decent enough to watch.

The story of the film is pretty simple, but the screenplay is not up to the mark. The story often feels draggy and dull. There are some good moments in the film where you may enjoy it, but most of the film is filled with forced comedy and dull dialogue. The locations are pretty good, and the songs are mind-blowing. Arijit’s songs are just magical, and you are going to love them on the big screens too.
I am giving the film 2.5 out of 5 stars. The film is a decent family film, but I don’t think it deserves a theatrical watch. There is no comedy in the film, and it lacks comedy for the most part. The film is suitable to watch with a family and has a runtime of around 2 hours.
