‘Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko!’ announced a TV Anime for 2023!, On Sunday, at Anime Expo, the Crunchyroll Industry Panel announced the anime adaptation of “Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko” aka “Tomo-chan is a Girl!”.
The Panel announced the lead star cast along with the official teaser poster. They also released a promotional teaser video along with the announcement. Rie Takahashi will be voicing Tomo Aizawa and Junichiro Kubota will be voiced by Kaito Ishikawa, Misuzu Gundo is given to Rina Hidaka while Carol Olston will be voiced by Sally Amaki.
Hitoshi Nanba will direct the anime along with Noriko Hashimoto assisting him as an assistant director. Megumi Shimizu will take over the composition of the series while Shiori Hiraiwa will do the character design. Studio Lay-duce will handle this project. Masaru Yokoyama will give music to the show.
The story follows Tomo Aizawa who confessed her crush\love to Junichirou Kubota. However, Kubota sees her only as a friend. He saw her only as a boy since they both went to school together.
The Manga is written by Fumita Yanagida and it has a total of eight volumes. The Manga series was published by JP Kodansha’s Seven Seas Entertainment.
