Hanna-Barbera Studios from Europe is rebooting The Powerpuff Girls along with Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends. Sam Register who’s president of Cartoon Network Studios, Hanna-Barbera Studios, and Warner Bros. Animation confirmed that they are working on the reboots.
He said he couldn’t just let this opportunity go away. He says he is super excited for this reboot taking place in the Cartoon Network world. This reboot will be the second animated reboot of McCracken’s original 1998–2005 series.
Previously The CW also tried to create a live-action adaptation of the story with three young adults, but the series was never made completely and the idea was scratched completely.
As per the original, the reboot as well will feature our 3 cuties, Bubbles, Buttercup, and Blossom and their crime-fighting narrative will be continued. Meanwhile, Foster’s Home for Imaginary will be recast and created as a preschool kinda series with a completely new cast replacing Bloo, Eduardo, and the remaining characters.
