Tandav Review: Much hyped and awaited Amazon Prime Video original series Tandav is now released on the platform and the series is already in news due to its controversial scenes, here in the post I am going to review the series, I would also talk about the performances, script, screenplay and few more details from the series.
The best part of the series is its star cast, the series stars some great actors like Saif Ali Khan, Zeeshan Ayub, Dimple Kapadia, Sunil Grover, Kumud Mishra, Gauhar Khan, Dino Maria, and many others, the series is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar Khan, who is known for Tiger Franchise.
Plot
The plot of the series is its weakest part, the story is just another Routine Political Family drama, where everyone from the family wants to be in power and for that they can go to any extent, Saif Ali Khan is the biggest names among all who is in the race for PM but due to the internal conspiracies he failed to get that Post, there are almost 5 candidates in the same family for the PM post, the plot also revolves around the local youth politics and college politics. Overall the plot is a mixture of Power, Politics, Conspiracies, Lust, Love, and Money.
Performances
Honestly speaking, I was not expecting that Sunil Grover’s role will be so big, he is the best performer in the series and you will his performances, although it may take few minutes to adjust to seeing him in this role, This is his best performance of his whole career and I am sure everyone would agree to this, the second major highlight of the series is Dimple Kapadia, she is in such a crucial role and she fits that perfectly, she is amazing in her role and it looks very much realistic. I was expecting more from Sai Ali Khan, still, he is good in his role and he once again manages to left his charm in the series. The other actors like Anup Soni, Gauhar Khan, and others were equally good. Overall, the actors have performed really well in this half baked political drama.
Screenplay & Others
The series starts well and it goes very slow in the middle, episodes 1 is controversial itself and I am sure it would be in news in few days, the screenplay is average and there are very few (almost none) suspense and thrills in the series, the series looks like fast-paced in the beginning, but it goes very slow in the middle and climax is also not that exciting, Editing of the series is very poor, although the episodes are short but more could be done, the locations are amazing and that is one of the highlights of the series, The BGM is average and the series lacks here too.

Overall
I am going with 2.5 out of 5 for the series, there is nothing special in the series, the series is Routine Political drama or better to say, a detailed and long version of Movie Rajneeti, if you have nothing to watch, then you can watch the series with Minimum expectations, otherwise, just avoid it.
