Shiddat Review: There are some films which needs to watch emotionally rather than the logically, and Hotstar original film Shiddat is one of those films, Sunny Kaushal, Radhika Madan, Mohit Raina, and Daina Penty starrer Shiddat just released a few hours back on the Hotstar, I had just finished the film and here is the detailed review of Romantic drama film Shiddat.
The film is directed by Kunal Deshmukh and written By Dheeraj Ratan, As I told you, the movie stars Sunny Kaushal, Radhika Madan, Mohit Raina, and Daina Penty in the main lead roles. The movie is approx 2 Hours and 2 Minutes long and is now available on Hotstar to watch in Hindi audio along with the English subtitles. The film is suitable to watch with family and Kids.
Story
The plot of the film revolves around Jaggi and Kartika, Jaggi falls in love with Kartika who has come to India from London for a swimming tournament, Jaggi was mad for her but Kartika has some other plans. She has to get married to some other guy and she flies back to London. Jaggi decided to go to London illegally as his passport was rejected. During the journey, he meets Gautam Kapoor who works at Indian Embassy in France. How Gautam will help Jaggi and why? Will he be able to reach London before Kartika’s Marriage? what will the fate of his love story be? To know this you have to watch the film on Hotstar.
Peformances
The movie is Mohit Raina Show, he is killing in the film with his amazing acting Skills, he looks so good in the film and he had played all the emotions brilliantly, he looks hard, he looks emotional and in the next frame, something else. The way he had transformed his character was just Amazing. Diana Penty looks good in the film too, it was so good to see her after a long time. Although she lacks that same old Diana from ‘Cocktail’ still she was perfect enough to make an impact in the film.
Now coming to the Sunny Kaushal, Sunny is a brilliant actor and I have no doubt, he had already shown his talent in the prime video original series ‘ The Forgotten Army’, but I personally think that he needs lots to improve with this dialogue delivery and emotional expressions especially in the Romantic film. He was so good at most of the places in the film still he lacks that Lover Boy image. Radhika Madan was brilliant in her role and there is no doubt about it, initially, she looks odd, but after the film passes, she transforms herself and she rules in the whole film. Clearly, she is the winner in terms of female actresses in the film.
Analysis
I will go with some negatives points first, there are many illogical scenes in the film which makes no sense at all, The Swiming scene, The Airplane scenes and there are a few more which are far far away from reality, There is an Indian Ambassador in France who is no work and all he has to do him, to help a lover to find his love, Seriously? A Girl from London comes to India to swimming and she falls for a guy in few seconds? and there are many more. But, i had already told you in the first line, We need to watch some films emotionally.
Now coming to the positives, The story is brilliant and the same is with the screenplay, the film keeps me hooked till the end and it is rare for me when I watch Romantic dramas, The editing is brilliant, The music and the songs are too good and it adds a major boost to the film. The locations are amazing and the same is with the chemistry between both the lead pair. The climax may seem problematic for many, but for me, it was brilliant.

I am going with 3 out of 5 stars for the film, If you are looking to watch some great love story with your partner, Shiddat is the best choice for your Right Now, the film is surely one of the best romantic films in recent time.
