Sector 36 Review: I was very much excited about this film after knowing the real story behind it. The trailer and performance of Vikrant in the trailer make me curious to know what really happened in the film and how was Vikrant in it. Finally, the film was released today on Netflix in multiple dubbed versions along with the original Hindi version.
The film stars Viktrant Massey and Deepak Dobriyal in the main lead roles and is around 2 hours long. Let me warn you, the film is disturbing and gore at an extreme level. So, don’t watch it with family and Kids.
The story of the film starts in Delhi, where numerous kids from the slum area go missing one after another. Police Inspector Pandey never cared about them and no case was registered. At the Dussehra event, someone tried to Kidnap Pandey’s 6-year-old daughter and from there he thought to start an investigation into the missing children cases. Upon digging up more, he came to shocking and disturbing confessions from a house servant named Prem. Who was Prem and what did he do? To know more about this, Go and watch Sector 36 on Netflix.
The biggest issue of the film is its content, Gore and voice are exaggerated so much that a neutral audience can’t watch it. Vikrant dialogues were disturbing to hear and there were lots of abuses that were not needed in this many numbers. If you are making these types of films, the main motive should be about, giving a proper message to society but due to its extreme gore and exaggerated violent content, the film fails to deliver its real objective.
Vikrant Massey is a superstar and from now on I can be 100% sure that he can play any character. Last he was seen in 12th Fail and he was so calm there. I Can’t believe this is the same guy from 12th Fail. I am pretty sure that film must have some impact on his mind too due to its content. He was mindblowing and scary at the same time. Deepak Dobriya was good in the film too but in the middle, he struggled a bit with dialogue delivery. There is a sequence where Inspector Pandey is interrogating PREM and that sequence is must must-watch. That is pick cinema, that’s what a pure master-class acting looks like.
The music is slightly on the weaker side and I was expecting some more dark-themed music in the film. There are no songs as expected. The locations were top class and every detailing was perfect. I am going with 3 Out of 5 stars for the film. Extreme of anything is wrong and that’s is the biggest issue with this film too.
The film is 2 hours long and if you are a fan of Gore and violent films, this one is surely for you. Watch this film on Netflix for Vikrant Massey’s Masterclass acting.
