Ramy Season 3 Ending Explained: Ramy has returned after 2 years with another banger of a 3rd Season that not only continues the spiritual journey of the very imperfect Ramy but also shows the path he is on and how his path leaves his loved ones behind or they leave him.
Ramy Season 3 was way too weird, crazy, and wholesome of a coming-of-age story about Ramy who is the first generation Egyptian-American living in New Jersey. The ending of this season was quite interesting and meaningful in so many ways. Here’s what happened;
In the whole of season 3, we see Ramy making good money. Now that he has his own jewelry shop called “Maktoub” and doing good but he is not doing business with the Jews and Israeli which was not well received by his friend and family but that doesn’t stop Ramy. Ramy finds out that he has a daughter from his time with Zainab and he meets her but Zainab’s hatred for Ramy has still not ended and she doesn’t like the sight of him.
In the end, after getting forced to sell a watch that is worth more than his business combined, he is sitting near the grave of Boomer the Dog who dies of drugs, he realizes that the lady he was with who used to give him sexual pleasure regularly has gone off with that expensive watch and in panic, he’s trying to reach out to his friend but soon realizes that all he has ever wanted was God and now, getting that watch stolen which is an out from the current cycle of his where he doesn’t have any say in his life is a signal from God and that he is now out of that cycle. He realizes that God has sent him a signal and is so happy that he starts to pray near the beach.
Meanwhile, his parents are high on Mushrooms and they seem to be discussing their life and what is important to them. Dena comes clean to them about his romantic partner that her mother had found for her and that she did not take the bar exam for being a lawyer for which the parents are quite okay because they’re high but all 4 of them are found praying towards the end of the season.
It seems that everyone was struggling in their own way and they have found relief in the situations that have made their belief in God stronger.
