“Onmyoji” Anime Episode 9: Episode 8 ends on a cliffhanger where Seimei was shivering, and audiences want to know if Seimei will heal or not. In this episode, we’ll cover Episode No. 9, titled “A Contest Of Magic At The Imperial Court.”
Episode 9 starts with the same demon who tried to kill Seimei. It was a recap of the end of Episode 7 where Seimei fainted. Episode 9 takes a shocking start when Lord Atsumi says, “If only he didn’t exist,” and the intro part comes.
Hiromasa tries to save Seimei, and Seimei finally gets healed. But after praying to God for saving Seimei’s life, Hiromasa has to pay a heavy price for this. Hiromasa didn’t tell anything about that prayer. Seimei explains about the Nanamori Demon, saying they’re quite tricky kinds of demons. Seimei won’t show any mercy to that demon.
Princess tells them about Lord Yasunori, where she starts doubting Lord Yasunori that he can be the Nanamori demon. But at the start of the episode, we witness that it is Lord Atsumi who is doing all these things.

Rumors start spreading that Lord Seimei is cursed. Lord Seimei gets summoned to that place, and he meets the Emperor. The whole court starts blaming Lord Seimei only. Suddenly, Doman appears in court, and she takes up from that place. Lady Doman knows about the demon.
The challenge of Doman vs. Seimei starts where both show their powers to fight the demon who tried to kill Seimei. Suddenly, demon faces appear from somewhere; the whole court jury is shocked and scared after seeing demonic faces. Seimei creates a special magic wall from which everyone is protected by demons. Doman and Seimei team up to kill those demons, and they succeed. Hiromasa is still in doubt after seeing Yasunori.
Doman tells Seimei and Hiromasa got help from her. Atsumi was fluting in the darkness, and Hiromasa and the other demon were listening to his flute. The episode 9 ends.
