Finally, Amazon has released its second series on the adaptation of Modern Love as Modern Love Hyderabad. As it is an anthology series I am going to give my viewpoint on each episode and at the last, i will give an overall review of all.

The first episode of the series stars Nithya Menen(Noori) & Suhasini as the lead. Noorie has just undergone knee surgery and her mother has come to her home to take care of her. That day lockdown is also announced suddenly all over India due to rising cases of covid.

The story revolves around a mother-daughter relationship and how they sort their differences by getting stuck together at the house due to lockdown. Revathi shines in the entire episode as well as Nithya Menen. Food plays a major role in this episode and you may also get hungry watch this episode.

The second episode stars Ritu Verma (Renuka) and Aadhi(Uday) in the main role. The story is about Renuka and Aadhi who one day met at a temple coincidently and later they started living in. After 2 years things started to change when Renuka find a women’s slipper in their cupboard. How the slipper changes their life after is very interesting to watch. The performances of the actors are good in this episode. The background music, Sketchy humor, and Ritu’s expression make it a fun watch throughout.

The third episode stars Naresh Agastya (Rohan) and Manusha Chivukula(Jyothi) in the main lead. Rohan a strong believer and CEO don’t believe in excuses and has a principle of “Either you do it or you don’t”. The story revolves around his childhood when he used to stay with his grandmother and sister. One day a situation change his life forever.

I am impressed by the acting of Naresh and you can feel emotionally connected to his character as well to his child character through flashbacks. It will take you to an emotional ride.

The fourth episode of the series stars Abhijeet Duddala(Ashwin), Guru Charan Kodur(Jk) & Malvika Nair(Vinni) as the main lead. Ashwin fed up with producing melodramatic content for daily soaps wants to enter into the ott space for capturing the newer generation of youth.

One night she met a standup comic Vandana at a bar and decide to cast her in his show. Then how the story proceeds is quite interesting to watch. Actors have given their best and Abhijeet shines throughout the episode

The fifth episode stars Anirudh Pavitharan (Jai), Uluka Gupta(Sneha) in the main role. The story is about Sneha who searches for a groom in a matrimonial site to get married, Arjun is a tattoo artist and he met Sneha at his tattoo parlor. How the story process afterward is what the episode revolves. Uluka manages to do decent acting in this episode and VK Naresh actions as an overprotective and spying father will make you laugh hard. The climax though is very emotional

The sixth episode of the series stars Komalee Prasad(Indu). The story revolves around a microbiologist Indu and her desperate wish to find the right match and always compare the men he met with animals and birds. The comic tone and concept of the story is very interesting to watch and Komalee’s acting will impress you a lot in the episode.

All the episodes of the series are very light-hearted and will take you on an emotional ride of laughter, sadness, pain, and smile. Personally, I liked the 2nd, and 3rd episodes very much. Each episode explores different feelings & emotions and will keep you hooked throughout. Music is the best part of the series. The music is very soothing and light.

After considering all the factors I am going with 3 stars for this series and I also want to recommend this to you. Please give it a watch you will not be disappointed.
