After being delayed for about 2 years due to covid the movie was finally released on May 13th, 2022. It has got a huge response from the theatres of Guwahati and Assam and it was also available in some theatres outside the northeast also.
Local Utpaat is being directed by none other than the local kungfu franchise fame Kenny Basumatary. The movie was shot in the local localities of Guwahati and portrays the story of 7 youths and their life. The cast of local Utpaat includes some common cast members that are also part of the previous movies of Kenny such as local kungfu 1 and 2.
The movie was made on a very small budget of 25 lakh and most of it is crowd funded. The movie has performed very well and being in the 4th week of the movie being released it’s still going well and people are enjoying it with family and friends. The movie was able to collect 1cr + from the theatres of Assam even having released with some of the major biggies such as Doctor Strange, Jayeshbhai Zordar, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, and others.
All the cast members including the director himself, Bonny Deori, Tony Deori, Poonam Gurung has many more have shown a great performance and a balance of humor and action. The movie directed by Kenny is always a treat to watch for its rib-tickling humor and local kung fu and martial arts. The movie makes a perfect combination of all this and people are loving and enjoying it very much.
The director himself along with his entire team has toured many places of Assam and its theatres and has watched the movie with the audience along with distributing local Utpat merchandise.

I am going with 3.5 out of 5 stars and I would also refer this movie to others, especially to the people of Assam who have not watched it yet. The director is planning to release it in Kolkata, Bangalore, Mumbai, and lot more places. It has already been released in 1 theatre in Bangalore and the movie was performing well there also.
With the success of this movie the director says he is motivated by the love of the people and will now plan for his next movie Local Kungfu 3 which will be more grand and big.
