If you look at the stats right now in the US BOX Office, you’ll see one film that is reigning in terms of critics and audience both and also doing business beautifully, also giving tough competition to the recent week releases like Jurassic World: Dominion, I am talking about none other than Top Gun: Maverick which has become the highest-earning Tom Cruise Film ever.

As we speak, it grossed over 900 M Dollars and it’s still going. So we thought if you’re on the list who contributed to the film’s earning either once or more than once, we’d give you some other films that are in the same category as Top Gun: Maverick. Here are some of the films

Stealth

Stealth despite releasing in 2005, had a concept that looks quite interesting to this day. Basically, it features a fighter bomber plane that had new technology specifically an AI embedded which develops sentience when struck by lightning. Before that plane starts a nuclear war, 3 expert pilots are called to stop that.

The film was directed by Rob Cohen and the plot itself looks interesting and thrilling. The film is a good watch, I’d recommend watching it if you haven’t already.

Red Tails

Red Tails tells us about the heroic African-American US Army Air Forces servicemen during World War 2. Those group of people was called The Tuskegee Airmen and the films tells us their struggles in America, facing racism and what did they have to overcome to become a pilot. The film stars Terrence Howard and Cuba Gooding Jr, this film was the last film produced by LucasFilm before it was bought by Walt Disney.

The Red Baron

The Red Baron is about World War I flying ace Manfred von Richthofen who was also called “The Red Baron” and it’s a German-British Biographical War Film that was shot in English to increase its international viewership. The film was met with some criticism in Germany but was a success in the rest of the world. The cinematography and sound design of the film were commendable.

The Blue Max

The Blue Max is a film that does not romanticize the great pilots of Wars but instead tells you a man’s story to achieve Germany’s highest medal of valor, “The Blue Max”. It also tells you about the man who holds no regard for anyone but himself, the film is beautifully shot and is based on the book of the same name. The film is a must-watch for people looking for a “not so romanticized version of pilots”.

Porco Rosso

Directed by the legendary Hayao Miyazaki and that should be enough for you to know what you can expect the film to have. This Japanese animated film that was released in 1992 tells you a beautifully written and cinematographically amazing story of a World War 1 Veteran pilot that is cursed to look like a pig.

This is one of those films that leaves you in awe of your imagination and makes you want more from your life. This is highly recommended if you haven’t already watched it.

Into the White

Set during World War 2, the film is inspired and loosely based on the events that happened in Norway during World War 2. The film stars Rupert Grint (Harry Potter Movies), and David Cross (The Reader) and packs a very good sound design with an amazing screenplay. The film was released in 2012 and holds a good IMDB rating.

Flyboys

This 2006 James Franco film was released, made with a small budget raked in 6 times the budget so you know it’s good. The film was based on 5 Americans, who for their own reasons joined the French Air Services and end up becoming the first American fighter pilots in World War 1.

It was directed by a Pilot himself, Tony Bill (Director of The Sting). The film countered so many emotions in the runtime of 140 minutes ranging from trust, revenge, and racism. This is a film that you should watch, you will not waste your time.

Other notable films that we think you’d have already watched are

1). The Aviator
2). Flight
3). Sully
4). 7500
