Dragon Ball Super: The new Sony/CrunchyRoll anime titled “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero” has made its debut on the US Market and it has started off to a great start for a movie that was much-waited for its release. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero has debuted with a $20 M starts grossing internationally $47 M.
The film is particularly interesting to see because it comes off with a return from The Red Ribbon Army from Goku’s past that is back with two new androids to challenge again. This time Picollo and Son Gohan need to do their best to defeat them and stop it.
The Film is Distributed by Toei Company and directed by Tetsurô Kodama. The film has been written by Dragon Ball series creator Akira Toriyama making this the 21st Dragon Ball Feature film overall. Originally set to release in Japan in April 2022 the film was delayed due to a cyberattack on Toei Animation and the release was delayed to August 2022.
The film has been dubbed in English and Hindi and it is going to release in India as well on 25th August 2022 distributed by PVR Pictures.
Fun Fact: The voice actor for Goku, Gohan & Goten in the movie are all done by a female voice artist Masako Nozawa who is 85 years old.
