We all know that Sylvester Stallone gave a blockbuster in 1976 named Rocky which was loved by the audience and critics at that time. Later the Rocky series was continued and had 5 sequels.
Irwin Winkler was the producer of the Rocky series and owns all the rights to the movie. Recently, Sylvester Stallone made a post on Instagram where he showed his deep interest in Rocky’s rights. As per him, Irwin has had Rocky’s rights for over 47 years now along with CREED. Stallone wants his fair amount of right of Rocky since he was also an essential part of the series playing the lead character.
Stallone wants to have some of Rocky’s rights for his children as well before Irwin passes all the rights to his own children. Stallone mentioned in his post that it is constantly eating his soul since he wants to leave something amazing for his children and fans as well.
He confirmed that he was paid pretty nicely and has no grudges from the makers. However, since he contributed as a writer and actor as well, he wants to have his fair amount of rights to the Rocky series.
