Blonde Review Netflix: More than 10 films are made now about the life of Marilyn Monroe and when the trailer of the film was released, I thought this is going to be just another film of a similar kind, but it looks like Aaron Sorkin was not in the mood to repeat all same again, I Just finished the Netflix original film Blonde and here is the detailed review of the film.
The film is around 2 Hours and 50 Minutes long and it is not suitable to watch with Kids and Families, the film is full of n**de sequences and there are lots of open S3x sequences too. The film is directed by Andrew Dominik and it stars Ana de Armas in the main lead role. Let’s Jump to the review.
Let me be honest with the storytelling first, I have seen thousands of biopics, and many of them were also based on the life of Actors, Indian films like Sanju and Thalavi were also of one them, but trust me, I had never thought someone can portray anything like this, This biopic is the hardest, Darkest and surely the best biopic I have as of now in my life.
Ana de Armas is just Insane and she is surely the next big thing in Hollywood, she just nailed it and no one can ever think an actress playing like this, she was not playing the character, she was literally living it, She nailed it in every frame, every sequence, Those emotional traumas, those relationships, those ups and downs, everything, she was living the role from the first frame itself. Starting from Childhood, to Stardom, and to the downfall again, the way she acted in each and every scenario just blew my mind.
The film is a masterpiece is all ways, The film is slightly long but if are really interested in Monroe’s life you will find yourself attached to the film, the storytelling is different and all credit goes to the master class direction and storytelling of Andrew Dominik. Around 90% of the film was shot in Black and white and it gives a real feel to the film.
Adrien Brody was also good in the film, he looks good with Ana, Bobby Cannavale is playing the role of Second Husband of Ana and again he acted brilliantly, Xavier Samuel was also good in his short yet impactful role. The locations and VFX were good and almost each of them looks real like anything, from that iconic white Skirt shoot to that Pink Blonde dress shoot, everything looks almost the same, the music and BGM were amazing.
I am going with 4.5 out of 5 stars for the film, as I said earlier, the film is the best and the Darkest biopic I had ever seen till now, If you are interested in Marilyn Monroe’s life, this film is a must-watch for you, there are lot of n*DE# seqances, so don’t watch it with family and Kids.
