Akshara Gowda, who has appeared in films such as Rangrezz and Maayavan, is about to embark on a new chapter in her career. The actress, who made her Telugu debut in Nagarjuna’s Manmadhudu 2, has a host of Telugu films in the works, all of which are unique.

She has gone entirely de-glam in Lingusamy’s The Warrior and will be seen as a langa-voni clothed Rayalaseema girl. Akshara says that it’s quite exciting since this is the first time she has gone de-glam for a role. She plays the female protagonist alongside Ram Pothineni in the film.

Akshara Gowda believes that playing a variety of personalities has given her a lot more confidence as an actor. She says her ambition is to work until she is elderly, like Betty White, who worked until she died. She says she admires how Telugu cinema has progressed to the point that filmmakers will look at you and hire you if you fit the role, regardless of your previous work.

She also wishes to do a variety of parts as an actress. She says she is trying to cross a few things off her bucket list, from doing special numbers to playing cop. She grins as she says she also wishes to romance a lot of young heroes onscreen.

Before making her cinematic debut in 2011 with the Tamil film Uyathiru 420, Akshara worked as a model. Akshara says she has watched the evolution of female characters in commercial cinema over the previous ten years. We’ve all come a long way from just singing and dancing to bearing the movie on our shoulders.

Directors today simply want talented performers and are willing to give us artistic freedom in order for us to perform effectively. She says she doesn’t want to limit herself as an actor. As a closing statement, she says she wants to keep exploring new ideas, characters, and languages.
