Samantar Season 2 Review: One of the superhit show from the Mx Player titled ‘Samantar’ is back with another season, the season 2 of the series released today on the Mx Player, I Just finished the series and here I am with the positives and negatives of Mx Player original Samantar 2.
The web series stars Swapnil Joshi, Nitesh Bhardwaj, and Tejswini Pandit in main lead roles, the series has a total of 10 episodes and all episodes are approx 30 minutes in length, the series is available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu & Marathi audio with subtitles. The series is not a family-friendly show, so avoid watching the series with family and Kids.
Story
The story of the series moves ahead of Season 1. After getting that dairy from Sudarshan Chakrapani, the life of Kumar Mahajan is getting back on track, he got the promotion, A Big House and A Car. He and his family are a very happy family now but suddenly all of everything changed after a woman enters the life of Kumar Mahajan. He lost everything after that, His Job, Wife, Friends, and family. What was the reason behind this sudden change in the life of Mahajan, who is behind all this? to know this you have to watch the full series on Mx Player.
Performances
Swapnil Joshi is amazing as always, his transformation of expressions during the sequences was just mindblowing, I loved the way he changes his expression and controls his anger and anxiety issues. He acts with his eyes and this one is one of his best performances to date. His body language, expressions, and dialogue delivery, everything was superb. Nitesh Bhardwaj was also good in the role of Sudarshan Chakrapani, he looks intense, Pained, and dangerous sometimes, his dialogue delivery is a treat to watch, the way he handles the anger of Mahajan is quite amazing.
Sai Tamhankar is a new entry in the series and she looks brilliant, she is very much expressive in the series and this is the best part about her character. Tejswani Pandit was also good in her character, she looks perfect in the role of a caring, loving, and loyal wife. The rest of the characters from the series were good in terms of performance.
Analysis
Honestly speaking, I am a little unhappy with the Pace of the series, the series is very slow in season 2, few scenes are predictable and the screenplay is also not up to the mark. The pace of the series goes very slow after thee 4 the episode and it continues till the 8th episode, the series gains its momentum again in episode 9 and from there it ends with an amazing climax. I think that scenes were stretched, the series can easily end in 7-8 episodes but the makers stretched it to 10 episodes.
The editing of the series was very good, the locations were brilliant and the BGM was good too, apart from the slow-paced story everything in the series was good. You are going to love the old sequences of Chakrapani, the coloring is very much effective and it gives a realistic experience.
