Hai Taubba Review: Altbalaji original series Hai Tauba is now streaming on the Alt Balaji website and app, users with a subscription can watch the series online on both website and app, I just finished all 4 episodes of the series and here I am with the review of the series. I am going to tell you about the plot, performances and a few more details of the series.
The web series stars Gagan Annand, Bhakti Maniyar, Simran, Saheb Bhattacharjee, Rohan Ghos, Akshay, Sachin Khurana, and others in crucial roles, the series is of total 4 episodes and all episodes are approx 30-40 minutes in length, You can watch the series in Hindi audio along with English subtitles.
Plot
The plot of the series is about four different stories, out of which two stories are about the LGBT and the other two stories show the human tendency towards love and how society thinks about it, the first story is about a couple were are not happy in their relationship due to the issues in their s3x life, the next story is about two men who love each other, third story is about the relationship between teacher and students and the fourth one is the story of two females, how these people meet, how they fall in love and how society treated them and what was the end of their story, to know this you have to watch the full series on Alt Balaji.
Performances
The series is decent in terms of performances, actors have done a good job, especially the second and third episode is full of some good performances, Gangan Anand was good in his roles and he looks awesome in the role, Bhakti Maniar playing the role of sonal in the episode titled “Aunty’s Kitchen” she amazing with her performance and she looks as good as she was in her last series Bhram. One more performance that I liked the most was the character of Mithila in the episode Dark Chocolate, she is brilliant in all aspects, emotionally, expression wise and Physically, she is killing it in the series and she is one of the major highlights in the series in terms of performances. Rest other actors have done a decent job.
Analysis
The biggest issue with the series is the execution of the episodes, almost every episode starts good but later it ended very badly, the plot is good but the screenplay is at worst. It looks like the creator wants to focus only on the intimate scenes and nothing else, If you are thinking intimate scenes are at the next level, You are wrong, the series is failing in this aspect too. The music is decent, the locations are amazing as always and the BGM was average. The episodes are very long and the intimates scenes were not that impressive, if you are making series like this, you have to make sure that there should be some great steamy scenes but the creators fail to add these things here.
Overall
I am going with 2 out of 5 stars for the series, the series is a little above the Gandii Baat and if you liked those episodes from the Gandii Baat, you can have a look at this on the Altbalaji website and app. The series is of total of 4 episodes and these episodes are not suitable to watch with family and Kids.
