Mumbai Saga Review: Well after the Poor storytelling of Roohi I was so excited for the Mumbai Saga to watch on Big Screens and finally the movie is here, I Just finished watching the movie, and here goes the review of Mumbai Saga, I am going to talk about the Plot, Performances, Highlights and positive and negatives of the movie.
The movie stars Emraan Hashmi, John Abraham and Kajal Agarwal in main lead roles, the movie is directed by Sanjay Gupta and T Series Films is producing the film, The movie is only suitable for Adults as rated by the censor board, the movie is approx 2 Hours in length and here goes the detailed review of the film.
Plot
The Plot of the movie revolves around Amartya Rao and Vijay Savarkar, Amartya Rao ( Played By John Abraham) is a gangster and he dreams to rule the entire Bombay, the only issue in his dream is Inspector Savarkar (Played By Emraan Hashmi), he is Behind Rao and tackling his each and every move, other the other hand Amartya is going Ruthless day by day is local Politicians support, who will be the winner? will Savarkar be able to stop Rao or he would fail, the story is all about the Cat & Mouse Chase between these two.
Performances
Although the performances have not a lot to offer actors have done a decent job, John Abraham looks the same as his other films Like Shootout At Wadala and Satyamev Jayate, his expressions and body language everything is Just Perfect, Armaan Hashmi is also good in the role of a Cop, he is brilliant with his dialogues and his one-liners remind of his old days. Kajal Agarwal is awesome as the supporting wife of John and she looks decent, other actors like Sunil Shetty and Mahesh Manjrekar were up to the Mark, Mahesh Manjerekar is awesome as the local politician and he is killing it, Rest of the cast was average and the performances are decent.
Analysis
First Coming to the Negative Points; The biggest issue with the movie is Plot itself, there is nothing new, the movie is almost similar to other Sanjay Gupta Films, the editing and coloring of the movie are also very Poor, the dialogues lets it down sometimes and the screenplay is very much predictable. Now Coming to the positive, the best part of the movie is John Abraham’s ACtion scenes, he is beating the goons one Handedly like his other Gangster Sagas and the actions scenes are Just wow and thanks to You to the producers that they decided to release it on big screens, some dialogue let it down while some are really Catchy and it creates an amazing atmosphere in cinema halls.
Overall Rating
I am going with 3 out of 5 stars for the movie, the movie is nothing different from the other films of Sanjay Gupta but it is the perfect watch for Big Screens especially after the pandemic, if you are a John Abraham and action Fan, don’t miss this movie in theatres near your and if you are expecting some amazing and refreshing story avoid the movie and wait for its a digital release.
