What If Season 2 Episode 2 Recap: What If…? is an animated action anthology superhero drama series, which is created by A.C. Bradley and is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar whereas this show is based on the Marvel Comics series and is explores alternate timelines in the multiverse of the marvel comics, where it shows what happens if this event happened this way.
In this article, I am going to recap episode 2 of season 2 which is written by Bryan Andrews and directed by Matthew Chauncey, where I will cover all the details and what happened in episode 2 of this show in details.

Episode 2 of Season 2, titled, “What If… Peter Quill Attacked Earth’s Mightiest Heroes?”, begins with the timeline in 1988, where the Earth’s shield of superhero is followed by Peggy Carter and Howard Stark where we see that they recognize the danger Peter try to establish a super-team of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes team.
In which the team includes the parents and associates of contemporary Avengers ensembles which is Bill Foster, Hank Pym, Dr. Wendy Lawson, and King T’Chaka where the Soviet Union volunteers a spokesperson which is the Winter Soldier, who is still in HYDRA programming mode but instantly considers as Bucky Barnes.
After that, Peter and Thor pose a threat to the Earth, where Hank’s daughter Hope, who believes that Peter is a misconstrued kid and breaks him free using Hank’s shrinking machine. Where, The Avengers decide about the plans to whether they have to capture where Peter and talk to him, and then, they shoot him with a sniper rifle.
Later, we see that the decision is made by Ego’s arrival and they realize that something is wrong and activates the seedling. Where Peggy and Thor along with others fight back to Ego’s sand monsters, while Hank and Wendy try to get through to Peter before the Winter Soldier shoots him.
We see that everyone is having a grieve about someone where Peter is grieving for his mother, Hank is grieving for his wife, and Bucky is grieving for himself about his identity where Peter feels that he has to stop his father from destroying the planet Earth.
At last, we see that Peter and Ope are in custody of Lawson’s cat, Goose whereas Thor is in battle with Ego in retribution for Asgard’s destruction. Bucky leaves the Winter Soldier cover and eyeliner back and the episode ends.
