Did Miranda Finally Arrest Lyes?: Netflix’s Blood Coast is a six-episode French action thriller crime drama series, directed by Olivier Marchal. The show follows Franck Murillo, a notorious criminal seeking revenge for his son’s death in Marseille’s underworld. Benamar, a police officer, leads a team of criminals who steal money from drug busts and rough up suspects.
Lyes who is a police officer and faces internal pressure from drug gangs after his arrest in Murillo. Internal Affairs officer Victor Miranda tries to find the truth about Lyes, believing he is linked to criminal gangs. Lyes actions are done to control crime and violence. Miranda suspects that Lyes and Ali Saidi have been talking due to their past friendship, and he seeks evidence against the officer.
During celebrations over Murillo and Ali Saïdi’s arrests, Alice was not sent to Paris. Miranda, unaware of this, was investigating Lyes’ team to dismantle their association with individuals like Ali. She blackmailed some team members. Lyes entrusted a confession to a teammate, who handed it over to Miranda. Miranda presented the confession, including Ali’s name, to the District Attorney, who allowed Miranda to proceed with Lyes’ arrest despite political reluctance.
Miranda pressures Tatoo and Arno to reveal Lyes’ secret affair, which Arno had been having due to his terminally ill wife. The IA officer blackmailed Arno, threatening to reveal his affair if he didn’t help Pin Lyes. Fearing his situation, Arno asks Lyes for help, and the police officer gives him a fabricated voice recording of Lyes confessing to his regular contact with Ali.

At the end of the episode, we see that Leyes wins the game but his ending is not happy whereas Miranda who had been working on a case against Ali Saidi, was let go due to corruption in the DA. Instead, she arrests Lyes for his past illegal activities. As they arrive, Lyes smiles, suggesting he might have thought of escaping.
