Unlocked Movie (2023) Review: Netflix’s latest psychological thriller-drama film, Unlocked, is an adaptation of a popular Japanese movie named Stolen Identity, I just finished the film, and here goes the detailed review.
This film was written and directed by Kim Tae-Joon. Aside from that, the story of this film follows a serial killer who stalks a girl with her smartphone by installing spyware; more information about this film is provided in the film.
In this article, I will review this film and try to tell you whether it is worth your time to watch it or not. I will also provide more information about the film to help you decide whether it is worth your time to watch it.
Unlocked follows a girl named Lee Na-Mi who is traveling by bus but unfortunately forgets her phone on the bus, where it is taken by a mysterious person who calls her and wants to return the phone, where he tries to unlock the phone, where we see that person who got access to her phone starts using her as a puppet and more, which we see in this film.
whereas we also see that this person tries to message different people and tries to blame her for all her messages, which she didn’t even send, and more that we see in this film. While the twists in this film are entertaining to watch, the ending twist is unexpected and very good, and it surprises the audience.

On the other hand, the first half of this film moves slowly, which makes me a little bored, whereas after her phone is used as spyware and someone tries to spy on her, it’s interesting to see, whereas the second half of this film keeps me glued to the screen, wanting to know what happens next.
While the actor did a good job, the villain’s acting was lacking, and we felt disconnected from the audience.
Rating: 2.8/5
At last, this film is decent to watch if you are a fan of thriller films. The twists and turns of this film keep us hooked, and besides that, this film is not for everyone. If you don’t have anything else to do, you should try to watch this film because it’s a one-time watch and you shouldn’t expect anything more.
