D Block Movie Review: The story commences with a little girl who is being captive by someone and subjected to abuse. Then, we got to see engineering student Arulnithi, who is a typical guy who traveled to Coimbatore to enroll in an engineering college, happy with his bunch of friends in a hostel. The film keeps alternates between funny events in ok daytime & creepy things at night. The film takes a turn when Swathi, one of Arul’s friends and a Bharatnatyam dancer dies and the Administration tries to cover it by putting that it’s a wild animal assault.
And Arul jumps to solve this mystery around it and tries to uncover the truth behind that how they all die or vanish in the same pattern. Arulnithi delivers a neat role. Even though the plot of the film is different, the film, some scenes were quite lagging, and the backstory of this film falls flat.
When the suspense is revealed, there are no thrilling moments to see. There’s no major twist in this film. The first half of this film went at an okayish pace and the second was a bit boring. Actor Arulnithi did well in his debut, he has the ability to tighten an average film. Some romantic scenes between Arul and Shruthi (Avantika Mishra) were ok.
The film is truly disappointing yet Arul’s performance was well. I’m going with 2 out of 5 stars for this film. What’s say on this one? Please let us know in the comments below.
