Watcher Movie Ending Explained: Shudder Original “Watcher” has recently been released on BluRay and this Psychological Thriller Film does make you remember some of the classics like Rear Window, and Disturbia but takes a turn that is well-known by women these days, sadly.
The film has been directed by Chloe Okuno and it stars Maika Monroe, Karl Glusman, and Burn Gorman.
The story revolves around a couple that goes to Romania and the wife starts to experience someone always lurking behind and looking at her from the apartment across at night. The Film is a Psychological Thriller because what happens to Julia is affecting her directly and the fact that it is being declined means the state she’s in is being ridiculed by her husband in front of her colleagues and then not understanding the situation correctly is what makes this a decent psychological thriller.
In the end, the guy that Julia had been seen following her and who also complained to the police after Julia came to his house threatening him turns out to be the real killer and also kills Julia’s neighbor and ends up cutting her neck leaving her bleeding and when he’s going out to for her next kill Julia’s husband spots him coming out of the apartment and when he starts to advance towards him, Julia from inside the room shoots him twice leaving him dead.
The film ends after Julia walks out of the apartment, covered in blood, and looks at her husband who thought that she was just “stressed” with a look on her face saying “I told you so”.
